Import and Product Quality Control
We can handle and extend the life of products flown to Los Angeles International Airport. Products are retrieved from inbound flights or trucks, re-cooled and re-hydrated, then forwarded to their final destination.
Assistance with Government Requirements
We will assist you with government requirements and documentation required by the United States Department of Agriculture and U.S. Customs, as well as governmental requirements at destination.
Differences in cultural and international business practices can cause delays that impact your temperature-sensitive shipments. Our team can interact with customers and overseas shipping partners in Spanish, French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Japanese, German, Russian and Tagalog.
How We Do It
With several hundred tons of air freight exported each week (60,000 tons annually), Able Freight is one of the most active forwarding agents in the United States. We handle fresh produce, including fruit and vegetables, seafood, meat, fresh and dry flowers, as well as pharmaceuticals and electronic components, which require controlled temperature monitoring.
Domestic & International Operations
Our experienced team has established and maintains strategic relationships with the airlines, forwarding agents and ports to expedite your freight in the fastest and most direct fashion.
We offer a complete range of services associated with logistics such as insurance, dangerous goods documentation and packaging, Letter of Credit negotiation, legalization of documents and registration with customs.
Maintaining the Cold Chain
As specialists in handling perishable cargo, we are knowledgeable with the handling requirements for all types of temperature-sensitive commodities, including produce, meat, fish, flowers, dairy products and pharmaceuticals.
Our warehouses operate 24/7 and are equipped with hydro-coolers, pre-coolers and coolers maintained at various temperatures. All pick-ups and deliveries are made with refrigerated trucks to ensure that the cool-chain is not broken. We use high-quality insulated liners, frozen gel packs and dry ice to ensure your freight arrives in the best condition. Special services such as pre-cooling, re-icing, quality inspections and re-grading are also available.
Regulatory & Compliance
We are in close contact with all of the government agencies to ensure full compliance with the current export and import regulations. We can take care of the TSA requirements, arrange for inspections by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Los Angeles County Department of Agriculture, provide the Food and Drug Administration with complete shipper and grower data to satisfy their requirements, and provide customs clearance.
